So I've had a fair share of Tinder dates/meet-up. I've noticed what usually caught them off guard is the fact that I have an accent (they didn't think I would) and that I curse. For someone who is rather quiet and nonconfrontational, I curse quite a lot. I'm not trying to be cool or tough, I just find curse words, in English particularly, are like lube for talking. It makes you get your point across and express yourself so much easier.
With that being said, of course I adjust my word choices accordingly to my company/audience.
