First, let me say that the US Civil War, was not just fought FOR slavery, it was fought to ABOLISH slavery as well. This is the thanks all the dead Union soldiers get for freeing the slaves (‽).
Secondly, the term Civil War is not all about just the USA, There have been many fought all over the world. Generally speaking, within the same country, adopted to same state in this case.
