Serious side-comment: I resisted using a wheelchair for as long as I possibly could, but then within like a WEEK of getting one, the amount it helped me was too obvious to ignore and I switched over to a certain degree of pride in it. Modulated by frustration over how incredibly inaccessible everything is. I still only use it as-needed, mostly winter, and mostly shopping/groceries, but it's genuinely amazing. So yeah, if any of you are ever "I dunno maybe it would but I don't wanna", just... maybe borrow or rent one for a few days to try it out.
